California Consumer Privacy Notice

This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”).

1. Personal information we collect

In the preceding twelve months, CAROLYRA LLC may have collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:

  • Identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address, online identifiers);
  • Internet or other electronic network activity (such as browsing history on the Services, interactions with our content, device information);
  • Geolocation data (approximate location derived from IP address);
  • Inferences drawn from the above to create a profile reflecting your preferences.

2. Sources

We collect personal information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, and from third parties such as analytics providers and advertising partners.

3. Business purposes

We use personal information for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including operating the Services, responding to inquiries, delivering newsletters, measuring engagement, and serving and measuring advertising.

4. Disclosures and “sale” or “sharing”

We may disclose personal information to service providers and to advertising or analytics partners. Some of these disclosures, particularly use of cookies and similar technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising, may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of California residents under 16 years of age.

5. Your CCPA rights

California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared;
  • Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information;
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

6. How to exercise your rights

To submit a request, email privacy@carolynwysinger.com with the subject “California Privacy Request,” or use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We will verify your request through information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity.

7. Authorized agents

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide written authorization and we may require you to verify your identity directly with us.

8. Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, email privacy@carolynwysinger.com.
