Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Last updated: January 1, 2026.
Carolyn Wellness is supported by a combination of display advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate partnerships. This page explains how we accept and label commercial content and how we keep it separate from editorial decisions.
Separation of editorial and advertising
Our editorial team is independent from our advertising team. Advertisers do not approve, edit, or direct editorial articles. Our advertising team has no influence over which topics our editors cover or how they cover them.
Display advertising
We display advertising from third-party networks. These ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content. We do not allow ads that we believe are misleading, deceptive, or contrary to our community standards. We reserve the right to refuse any ad.
Sponsored content
From time to time we publish content sponsored by a brand. Sponsored content is clearly labeled (for example, with the word “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” or “Presented by”). Sponsored content is reviewed for accuracy and held to the same content standards as our editorial articles, but is shaped in collaboration with the sponsor.
Affiliate links
Some articles include affiliate links. If you click such a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links do not influence editorial coverage. We aim to recommend products that we believe are reasonable, well-reviewed, and appropriate to the topic.
Prohibited advertising
We do not accept advertising that:
- Makes medical claims that require professional licensing to promote;
- Promises specific health outcomes (such as cures or treatment results);
- Targets minors with content inappropriate for children;
- Is deceptive, false, or misleading;
- Promotes tobacco, illegal substances, or hate speech.
